“Chance Tonight” is the first collaboration between San Francisco-based musician/producer Iguazúl and Michigan-based singer/songwriter/producer Vicki Maldonado. After over a year of uncertainty, both Iguazúl and Vicki were eager to connect and collaborate. The pair met and collaborated exclusively online after being introduced through Frank Socorro’s monthly mix feedback sessions. This common desire led to the modern synth-pop track that brings dance back into the listener’s soul.

“Chance Tonight” incorporates casino-type imagery with the concept of taking a chance on love. The fun, play-on-words, lyrics are spoken from a woman’s perspective as she has a conversation with herself. From her point of view, it’s time to “double down”, trust that “odds are on my side” and just “take a chance tonight” with the one she’s longing for. But it requires a lot of courage to take such a big gamble on someone. Does our girl place her bet?
